County Cork is well known for its artisan food producers and during the growing season, most of the vegetables and fruit come from Ballyvolane’s walled garden. Ballyvolane has over six miles of privately-managed salmon fishing on the renowned River Blackwater, with a wide variety of spring and summer beats. Ballyvolane also has trout lakes on the estate. The beautiful Blackwater Valley, with its many gardens and historic sites, is well worth visiting. Blarney Castle, Cobh, Cork City, Fota, Killarney, Kilkenny, Kinsale, Lismore, the Ring of Kerry, the Rock of Cashel, and Waterford Crystal can all be visited from Ballyvolane.
